I checked the rules for importing our second car into Norway. The costs for importing are depending on the value, age, weight, milage, engine size and power…and the calculated amount for this 16 year old, low weight, high milage, low power Honda (worth close to nothing): 14000nok, or 1750 Euro!
Damn, that’s almost three times the price we bought it for three years ago!! Guess we’re gonna get rid of it, since driving it back to NL for the mandatory yearly check ain’t worth the trip as well.
I already knew it, this exercise only confirmed it: importing cars in Norway…Norway!!
Good memories; the time spent in New Zealand one year ago…hey, I was without a job and with the confidence of a great future ahead of me. The amazing New Zealand nature brought me the peace of mind I needed.
The future? Well, so far it all came through! I really love living here in Norway, and there is still heaps of nature to cover…people say Norway is a combination of Canada and New Zealand…brrrring it on! 😉
I’m normally easily bored with a ringtone in general and the default ringtone of any mobile phone in particular. The iPhone is different though; I simply *love* that ringtone, can’t get enough of it…keep on calling! 😉
Yay! Because of my stay in NL last week, I missed the end of the speed limit period (a.k.a. ‘miljøfartsgrense’), which was in effect on the Oslo ring since last year November 1. It boosts the allowed speed up by 33%, a true time-saver in the evening since I normally leave office after the rush hour!
YouTube has grown considerably over the last year. For me this got proven by the fact that its uploaded movieclips have become popular topics to bring up even (or especially?) when you’re offline, drinking a beer in a bar for instance.
It just hit me since so many people pointed me to specific YouTube clips over the past days…it’s amazing, and terrific, am always to explore new material!
Watch the clip below, this is as close to nature as YouTube can get, wow!

Will go to the final of a band competition tonight (Grote Prijs Zuid Holland). The brother of one of my best friends is the drummer of Tokyo-A-GoGo!, one of the bands that made it to the final (and obviously will win it! ;)).
The final of the band competition will be followed by a final in the dance category…guess what? It’ll be party hardy (or, party hearty?) all night long!
Triggered by a good friend I found Americas Got Talent’s beatbox sensation ‘Butterscotch’. Check her out, it’s absolutely amazing what she’s able to pull off…the performance starts from 0:46 in the clip.
Since it’s April Fools’ Day today: get ‘Rick Rolled‘!! 😉
