Apple’s WWDC 2012

Whenever Apple has something to announce, it seems that the world is standing still to see what the Cupertino trendsetter and market disruptor has to say, especially in the recent years. Today is no different, as Apple’s Tom Cook gave a keynote speech to open its yearly Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).

New goodies announced today:

New MacBook Pro with Retina Display, watch the video; they did it again…iWant! 😉

– a hefty update of the MacBook Air and Pro specs (still happy with mine)

– Mac OS X Mountain Lion, coming in July. Not sure if this update is for me, although it has some nice things (iCloud integration, Messages app bringing iMessage to the Mac, AirPlay Mirroring allowing to stream of what’s on your Mac to an HDTV, and more…)

iOS 6 preview, coming this fall with Facebook integration, new Maps app including turn-by-turn navigation, Shared Photo Streams, the Passbook app, FaceTime over cellular networks (!), VIP Mailboxes, nice options to handle an incoming call, and more…your iPhone is gonna be better than it already was!

For geeks: you can find the keynote speech here!

Next in line coming from Apple; the rumored AppleTV (iTV?) and the iPhone 5…announcements expected in September.
