Today is ‘the’ day of the year where one day is making me a whole year older…aahhh it’s my Birthdayayayay! 🙂

Having lived my year as The Master Healer at 44, I apparently will now move into cosmic solidarity which is expressed in the life of all the beings! 🙂

Keywords: reliability, patience, focus on building a foundation for the future, and wit…45 is worldly and sophisticated! Oh ohhhh 🙂

Well, age is just a number anyway (haha, an expression that is mostly used by ‘older’ people 🙂 ), and I continue to live every minute of Now!

PS. nice to know is that a study reveals that happiness levels rise after the age of 45, so…here is to happiness! 🙂

Riddle of the Day: one egg is no egg, two eggs is half an egg, thee eggs is an Easter Egg…hope y’all enjoyed your eggs at your Easter brunch! 😉

Today is that unique and special day in the year when one day makes a whole year difference; we turn the imaginary page of time tonight and after celebrating it we wake up in a brand New Year. By then, page 2016 of the ‘book of life and the world’ has been completely written, and we have stored all experiences of the past year in it.

The year of 2016 has mostly been a year of continuances; running my own company (once again a busy year without any real vacation, the unforgettable five day trip to Ibiza compensated a lot though), Misha turned five (literally a handful 😉 ), still the happy camper *full* of enthusiasm and energy, enjoying and loving his life in both Norway and NL, there were many memorable moments and some really nice (dance) events to remember…the year flew by through the continuous process of letting go of past and getting to know the present and future possibilities…there were not too many highs this year, yet also not so many lows…all is balanced in the end.

It is good to know that all the 2016 experiences are stored in a safe place; in my heart and my memory…I can look back, laugh, cry, read, learn, and all of that without any regrets!

Writing things down and then turning the page of time also means that things can be put to rest…it is a good moment to go on and look forward towards everything that future offers and say: “Oh, hi 2017! Here I am!!”

Time…it is o-so relative…I wish everyone a splendid life in the Now, filling each moment with unconditional love, share it and pass it on…

It’s Misha’s 5th Birthday today! Hip hip Hoorayyyyy!

Amazing years are in da pocket, and many more are to come…I am so fortunate to share this journey with you my sweetest angel, I LOVE you! <3

It is time for the last dance festival of this summer; Summerlake! I have some great memories of this festival from two years ago, and this years edition will be even more special as my friend Dina aka DJ DNA will make us dance to her beats after winning the DJ contest earlier! Looking forward woohoooo!! 🙂 

It has been a little over two years since I last went to Ibiza, good times, good memories, what a fantastic place to be! Ha, it was about time to come back to this wonderful island, especially as I also realized that it has been a little over two years since I had a proper vacation, indeed, the same Ibiza trip…not a track record to be very proud of (despite my somewhat loonngggg holiday before that in 2013/2014… 😉 ), so promise to self; that won’t happen again! 🙂

Back to Ibiza, we’re here with six guys enjoying the luxury of staying in a fantastic villa, Casa Chispa, see below!

After a very relaxing first day by the pool, we’re almost ready for the first night…from the looks of it it’s going to be a tough one (and long 😉 ): first Kygo in Ushuaia *and* followed by David Guetta in Pacha! Woopwoop! 🙂

Wow, it has been 4 years already since I last went to Breda Live! Then it was the day after Adam Curry’s bachelor party before his marriage to Micky Hoogendijk…the times they are changing……nevertheless, good to be back here! 

Great to see some of the finest Dutch bands on stage, a mixture of pop, rock and dance with Sunday Sun (just missed them actually 😉 ), BLØF, Typhoon, Kensington and Fedde Le Grand!

It’s gonna be gooooddddd!!! Whoop whoop! 🙂

No, no, there is no mistake in the dates, though June 28 was indeed yesterday. 🙂

This quote is actually quite relevant for the services from GoDaddy, my hosting provider. This blog (actually the whole raymondpoort.com domain, AND the other domains I have with them, AND all related hosting services!!) only just came back online after being down since yesterday late afternoon! It took GoDaddy a good 24 hours to get services restored, and still I see ping timeouts.

Being in the services industry myself, I know things can (and often will) go wrong, and one can standout by the way issues are dealt with. Well, GoDaddy did bad, very bad in that respect. I called them today as their status page showed all services up and it took the guy on the phone quite some time (and persistence from my end) to realise and confirm that indeed some of their servers experienced problems……sorry GoDaddy, not good enough, I will be looking for another hosting provider. The sole reason I ended up here was because Adam Curry provided interesting promo codes in his Daily Source Code (that was back in the PodShow days, aaaaages ago!)…time to move on! 🙂

My traditional opening of the summer festival season starts tonight! Yessss, the Parkfeest in Oosterhout is here again! 🙂

It starts, as usual, with ‘coverband night’: performances of Muset, Ziggi Floyd, The COPS, Kings of Lyon and JUST PINK. Mainstagers tomorrow are Chef’Special, Ali B and UB40!

Unlike other years, the weather lacks the traditional wind and rain (thank you global climate change LoL), which is nice for a change, crossing fingers it is going to stay this way! 🙂

Now the fun with friends starts; let the booze flow and the music make us dance! Woohoooo! 🙂

Today Norway celebrates its Constitution (May 17, ‘syttende mai’), so GRATULERER MED DAGEN Norge (Congratulations Norway)!!

Weather is sunny and calm, a LOT better than last years wind, rain and +4C (brrr!)…the outdoor party will be good! 🙂

We’re dressed up for brunch, and are then on to participate in the traditional ‘barnetoget’ (Childrens’ Parade) with Misha and his kindergarten friends in the village centre! Everyone will be celebrating and waving flags, Hurra for Norge!! 🙂

2016 will be another year filled with opportunities for us all, and it is up to each and everyone of us to recognise and take them! 🙂

I am no guy for New Years resolutions so you won’t find them here. 🙂 I believe more in New Day resolutions and every day is a new opportunity for that…after all, January 1 is ‘just’ another New Day, eh? Especially when you consider that half the world population (China and traditionally in India) celebrate New Year on a different date!

By then, page 2015 of the ‘book of life and the world’ has been completely written, and we have stored all experiences of the past year in it.

The year of 2015 has been a year which continued where 2014 left it; my first whole year running my own company, a busy year without any vacation (had some nice weekend trips though), Misha turned four and started kindergarten/pre-school *also* in NL, the big little angel is getting completely bi-langual (and a Silver member for KLM Flying Dutch ha! 🙂 ), I electrified my mobility from LEAF to Tesla and enjoyed some very nice (dance) events to remember…all in all been a splendid year which included, as always, the continuous process of letting go of past and getting to know the present and future possibilities…highs and lows are all balanced in the end.
