Song of the Day: Little Red Corvette

Saturday, November 30th, 2013

I love my Songs of the Day, and especially on Saturday nights I noticed. No particular reason I’d say, as my Saturday nights can be pretty much similar to Sunday-Friday nights 😉 until I heard someone singing ‘But it was Saturday night, I guess that makes it all right’…and so it is!

The ones paying attention should not be surprised; that ‘someone’ is Prince (the greatest artist of all time), and the line is from his first big hit, ‘Little Red Corvette’, an erotic fusion of rock and funk combined with groovy guitar riffs and a great solo…I love it!!

And I wonder, for the ones paying attention (and actually, also the ones who don’t); do YOU think this song is about a car? Really??? Listen again and catch the metaphor…(or, read it below the YouTube clip 😉 )

Read the lyrics, remember that most Prince songs are drained in sex and consider the following (just some of many): a pocket full of Trojans refers to Tr0jan condoms, The “jockeys” represent men who have previously slept with the girl, and well uhhh, Little Red Corvette refers to that most private place of a girl, below the belt…a change of perspective eh? 😉

Smile of the Day: KFC Witness Protection Program

I am not a fan of eating meat (understatement 😉 ), so any animal saved from being served as (fast-)food makes me feel goooddd!

That, and the fine memories of loads of flamingos in Bolivia made me ROTFLMAO when I saw this picture…LoL!

Life balloons

Thursday, November 28th, 2013

We all have our own life story, our own experience, bagage, things to deal with, to learn, to accept, to carry with us, to love and remember.
Hélène Leroux created a fantastic animation film about all of this; our life, the people we meet, the memories we make (represented by balloons)…a nice metaphor!

Many open doors in these pictures at vivas.fi, still; typical, hilarious and OMG oh so true…LoL 😉

Vivas.fi: “There are many funny differences between women and men. You can see them in everyday situations. Next time, when you have a fight with your couple, try to remember these pictures!”

The Time You Have…

Monday, November 25th, 2013

An interesting way to look at the time you have in this life…and roughly how you spend it…

Each jellybean represents one day; seeing how little there are left to do things that really matter to YOU in life, you sure want to be careful not to waste any of them…in other words; make the most out of your free time and your daily routine!

So, what do YOU want to do today??

New header graphic

Monday, November 18th, 2013

Pretty amazing that the beauty of Peru&Bolivia didn’t make it as a header graphic so far, I guess I have been busy doing other stuff. 😉

Anyway, it is time for the hot summer header graphic of the Lidnesnes Lighthouse from end of July to go and be replaced by one of the many highlights of my trip to South America!

I normally try to match the header graphic to the season, which ain’t all that easy as it was late winter/early spring in South America while it is mid autumn over here. So, instead of colourful autumn leaves, this one shows the Lost City of Machu Picchu…fan-friggin-tastic!!!

GOOD times! 😉
