From the Smashing Pumpkins website: "It’s official, The Smashing Pumpkins are currently writing songs for their upcoming album, their first since 2000. no release date has yet been set, but the band plans to begin recording this summer."
Guess we still have to hold on for some months, but things are moving…I subscribed to the mailing list; get the news first hand! 🙂
Last year I posted about a (possible) new company car, the Alfa Romeo 159. I also added a photo taken in the showroom (still a beautiful car!).
When it became clear that it was not possible to have the 159 as a company car, I posted the same photo nicely striked-through in RED. Both photos have been indexed by Google images and especially the last one generates more and more traffic to my site. Actually quite understandable if you do the search yourself (alfa romeo 159)…a page of great pictures of the 159 and then you see this one photo that is striked through, he he he 🙂 🙂
I’m still a huge fan of the car!!
Well, that was a nice idea, enabling registration…there is no such option in Pivot(!!), at least not that I found!
Major BUMMER!! Guess I have to find another way to get rid of spammers, hmm…nice…:(
This blog is hit by comment spam quite regularly, but things seem to go worse week after week…I remember switching off the comments section on the homepage, but it didn't stop spammers to stil hit the comments 🙁
Last measure (one I actually didn't want to take) is to enable registration before any comment can be made…yeah it sucks, but I guess there is no other way, for now.
'Luckily' there are not that many comments to my posts anyway, so hardly anyone will notice 🙂
I’m reading through an interesting article explaining why Microsoft’s Windows Vista will be a great disappointment when (if?) introduced coming year, especially if one considers the media-hype that MS has created throughout the last years around Longhorn (the codename previously used for Vista)…’Where Vista Fails‘.
Am just halfway the article now and every line makes me an even happier Mac user then I already am! 🙂
Starting a blog? Here’s the How-To…well, if you want to make your living out of it, at least so it seems when reading through the tips and tricks of ‘How to Evangelize a Blog’ by Guy Kawasaki…not all blogs meet his high standards though, including mine 🙂
Today’s the day…34…not too bad, eh? 🙂
For the techies 🙂
Following the release of Intel-based Mac’s in the beginning of 2006 and the Boot Camp software enabling a dualboot of Mac OS X and Windows XP earlier this month, Robert X. Cringely shares some interesting viewpoints in the third consecutive week of "What the heck is Apple really doing with Windows?"
For anyone having some (a lot of!) spare time on hand, check out Second Life, built your virtual life and create your own community! It reminds me a lot on Blacksun (now known as Blaxxun), a 3D virtual world which I ‘played’ in the mid 90’s.
Addictive and time-consuming! 🙂
I’m subscribed! (and I want in! :))
I tried to set a ‘reminder by SMS’ (text message to my mobile phone) for an event I created in Google Calendar but saw that at this stage unfortunately only US-based carriers are supported…
Google, by when will you support Vodafone?? 🙂
Still, the application works for me!
I took the first step towards my own podcast this weekend…a beer/cola for the one who finds out what!
The only hint I’m gonna give is; ‘dsc3’ 🙂

Am going to Green Lizard tonight! They’re performing in Nederland 3, a popcenter literally ’round the corner for me
I’ve heared much from the band and it will be the first time to see them live…looking forward to that!
The human clock, check it out, it’s cool!
Just a thought…
Now that Apple ships most of their models with Intel processors and Mac OS X software is in the process of being converted/upgraded to Universal Binaries (Mac-software that runs both on PowerPC and Intel based platforms)…would it now be easier to get CastBaster for the Mac??
I assume that converting existing PC-software to Universal Binary is easier than writing completely new PowerPC/Mac software???
Google just launched their newest addition to their bunch (beta-)apps; Google Calendar.
At first glance it looks nice, it actually works intuitive as most of their apps and overall performance is FASTTT!
I haven’t got the time to play around with it too much yet, but am curious to find out how well the integration with Gmail performs…the opportunities seem almost endless, go and check it for yourself!
You can use your Gmail-account to log in, or otherwise create a new Google-account.
Drop me an email if you want/need a Gmail-account…it’s almost Easter! 🙂
Adam Curry recorded a full year of Daily Source Code's yesterday…365 days of shows, wow!!! Congrats dude!
I've been hooked onto his show (and podcasting in general) from day 1, guess I can't stop promoting podcasting since the AMAZING moment on October 7th, 2004 🙂 🙂
We played our last game Saturday against Donar, we’re first and they’re last in the standings…so even though the spirit was gone (mainly due to the starting time of the match, 6pm sjeez!), we won relatively easy 0-3.
Check the NeVoBo site for the end result in the competition.
