• …on the way back…we’ve been driving through the Hardangervidda plateau (awesome!) and have a short pizza-break midway in Geilo. #

• It’s the last day before we’ll be heading back home, so soon!! We took it easy today, again ;)…really enjoying the vacation mode! #
• Hmm, did I say I took it easy today? Wrong!! Just went biking up to the Hardangervidda plateau, a 10km climb with a crazy 10% average…yay! #

• Bergen has a great vibe, especially when the sun’s out! The food was perfect, the Sancerre white wine amazing…what a shitty life 😉 #
• Today’s been a slow Twitter day, mainly cause it has been a lovely, relaxing and slow day, canoeing on the Eidfjordvatnet in 30dgr sun, yay! #

• Jeez, we even paid for that shithole of a hytta…dutch and too honest?!? Good to be on the road again, Bergen here we come!! #
• …and hytta should have been hytte, ofcourse!! #

• We drove down the ‘Trollstigen’ this morning…the Lonely Planet travel guide describes it as ‘a thriller of a road’, and it was! Great!! #
• A lot of crazy fish at the Ålesund aquarium…I wanna swimmmm!! #
• Oof, tonights hytte is close to aweful…the cheap price had its reason! The plan is to cook, drink shitloads of wine and fall asleep. 😉 #

• Found a hytte after a long day; it started with a hike in Geiranger this morning and a visit to a colleague in beautiful Valldal afterwards! #

• Good Sunday y’all! We left Oppstryn and are on the Hellesylt-Geiranger ferry now. It’s supposed to be the most spectacular ferry trip ever!! #
• Let me tell you; the Geiranger fjord is spectacular indeed!! The snowy road from Geiranger to Dalsnibba too btw. with an amazing viewpoint!! #
• Oh, and in the category of useless information; I forgot my beard trimmer and start to look a bit like Santa Claus…;) #

• Today is bicycling day, exploring the nature around Stryn. Guess what…it’s gonna be beautiful again!! 😉 #
• The bicycle trip turned out to be a ‘conquer the norwegian mountains’ experience, heavy, but heaps of fun! #
• In front of tonight’s place (a ‘gård’), looking at the small village Flo on the other side of the Strynevatnet lake. Another WOW-moment!! 😉 #
• It’s midnight and I ‘think’ the sun just set?!?(mountains are in the way ;)) It’s still so light outside, it feels as if it’s only 8pm!! #

• On the road again, from Laerdal to Stryn, after another great day and night in a hytte overviewing the fjord. Great views along the way now! #
• This trip is, as hoped/expected, continuously filled with ‘WOW’-moments; today we hiked to the Briksdal Glacier (Briksdalsbreen)…WOW!! 😉 #

• We went for our first bike trip today; 30km mainly uphill from Lærdal to Borgund…pretty heavy for a first trip on our new Fuji-bikes! #
• It has been an intensive day, tomorrow we drive go Stryn, time to zzzzzz! (ps. another great hytte with amazing fjord view tonight ;)) #

• We’re on tour today…the ‘Norway in a nutshell’ tour to be precise. Started with a ride in a traditional train, from Flåm to Myrdal, great! #
• Waiting for the last part of the tour; the boat from Gudvangen back to Flåm. We’re having one fantastic day!! #
• Wow, what an end of a great day; sitting on the veranda of todays hytte with a cold beer, looking at a the sunset in the Aurlandsfjord!! #

• First stop; Nesbyen. We found a nice camping, but rented a small ‘hytte’ (cabin) because of the unstable weather…sun is expected tomorrow! #
• On our way to Flåm, the views are truly spectacular! Just saw the first ‘big’ waterfall; hivjufossen. Many more to come… #
• Wow!! Just outside Flåm,one of the best places to stay for tonight…a traditional ‘hytte’ facing a mountain with 3 waterfalls! What a view! #

We’re about to leave for a two weeks roadtrip through Norway…hey, hey, it’s about time we discover the beauty of this country that everyone talks about, eh? 😉

We’ll spend most of our time on the West/Northwest coast, between Bergen, Ålesund and Kristiansund…expect no daily blogposts, but you can follow us via my Twitter page!

• The game last night was a disaster, luckily I had a party anyway ;)…that was yesterday…I’m in the plane now, on the way back to Norway!! #

We bought Mario Kart today, a really fun game for the Wii…racing with the remote Wii Wheel is HEAPS of fun!

We’ve had a nice and relaxing day in NL and are now getting ready for a wedding party tonight, and are ofcourse mentally preparing for THE match, the Euro2008 quarter-finals against Russia!

I don’t expect to see the match, we’ll be partying instead ;), but I’ll make sure to stay up to date with the match via SMS orso.

It’s the end of June, a great time to have vacation!

We’ll start by flying to NL tonight so we can be at a friends wedding party tomorrow, then back on Sunday in order to pack for two weeks of driving/bicycling/hiking in the (North) West of Norway! Heaps of fun, really looking forward to it and jeez, do I need some time off!! 😉

Last year June 18, so today, I started my job in Norway…something to celebrate. The company thought so as well and decided to have a boattrip (båttur in norwegian)/summer event…I love these kind of initiatives!! 😉

Wow, things can move fast!

I was contacted this morning by someone interested in buying our good’old Honda…it was around the 20th guy calling me since I put it on the internet so I wasn’t too sure, but, as everyone knows; it just takes one buyer to make a sale happen and…this was THE one!!He just stopped by to have a look, apparently liked what he saw and we directly closed the deal…this car is gone for good!

Heyhey, perfect timing with our vacation coming up the next two weeks. 😉

A colleague recently told me to ‘G-F-A-D’…huh?!? I know I heard this one before, but managed to forget it. Luckily there is Urban Dictionary.com…indeed, GFAD means Go Fuck A Duck!

Hehe, I normally use FADATTF…Fuck A Duck And Try To Fly! 😉 (unknown in the Urban Dictionary btw.)
