I noticed that for some reason September 7 has been a typical ‘Quote’ day for me over the last years…I started this blog in 2005 and have posted a QOTD every year on this specific date. Today is a day to break with traditions! π
Looking back it’s a nice collection though:
In 2005: Antoine de Saint-Exupery: βAnd now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.β
In 2006: Audrey Giorgi: “Once in a while you have to take a break and visit yourself.”
In 2007: Charles F. Kettering: “Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future.”
Jimi Hendrix: “Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.”
Dag Hammarskjold: “The longest journey is the journey inward.”
Marie De Vichy-Chaconne: “It is only the first step that is difficult.”
Elisabeth Kubler-Ross: “There is no need to go to India or anywhere else to find peace. You will find that deep place of silence right in your room, your garden or even your bathtub.”
Oprah Winfrey: “The biggest adventure you can ever take is to live the life of your dreams.”
Peter McWilliams: “The simple solution for disappointment depression: Get up and get moving. Physically move. Do. Act. Get going.”
White Eagle: “Say little, and love much; give all; judge no man; aspire to all that is pure and good.”
Maria Irene Fornes: “When I’m not doing something that comes deeply from me, I get bored. When I get bored I get distracted and when I get distracted, I become depressed. It’s a natural resistance, and it insures your integrity.”
