The first iPod showed up in stores exactly 10 years ago today, can you believe that?? It seems that it has been around forever!

An interesting quote from a New York Times analyst in 2001: ”It’s a nice feature for Macintosh users, But to the rest of the Windows world, it doesn’t make any difference.”. Well, by now we that the iPod made a HUGE difference, it changed the way we listened to music and put an entire industry upside-down!

And consider this; the form factor, specifically the width is pretty much matching the iPhone 4(S)…design and success apparently did not come out of the blue, eh?

We are having our 21st anniversary today, quit a milestone, I guess we can call ourselves adults now, eh? 😉

We spent this day on some very nice and sunny places the past years (Bali, Bonaire, Costa Rica)…ha, these days the sun comes from Misha, especially now that he begins to recognize us and then starts smiling….so sweet!!

Our friends Per & Ingrid celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary tonight! They planned a nice dinner evening with friends…and ‘we’, the friends, decided to give them a second wedding, including a chapel, a priest, bridesmaids, a photographer, and speeches, lots of speeches! 😉
Reason for that is that Per & Ingrid did not have a big celebration party when they got married 25 years ago, so it was about time to make up for that!! 😉
I believe we managed hehe, it was great evening!!

My father called me today telling me that his brother, my uncle Wim, passed away this afternoon…yesterday Marko’s father passed away…both in their mid 70’s, too early…particularly events like these make living abroad tough, as all you really want is to be close to the ones left behind.

We’ll have to do with sending love and energy, which happens to be the most powerful way to connect to people so that is good!

Yayyy, Robbert is IN DA HOUSE!! (first time in 2011! 😉 )

He is obviously mainly here to see Misha, and it was love at first sight! 😉

I haven’t seen him in 2.5 months, so this will be a weekend filled with catching up, some casual gaming…AND the Smashing Pumpkins concert tomorrow (the ‘other’ reason to be here this weekend!)…ROCK ON, hell yeahhhhh!!!

Oh yeah, it is that day again, November 1, and that means that the 60kph speed limit is applied on the Oslo ring, apparently meant to save the environment? At least, that is what specific ‘miljøfartsgrense’ roadsigns tell me…winter tires with spikes are apparently cause a too high concentration of small dust particles in the fresh and ‘healthy’ Oslo air when driving over 60kph?!? Puh! (and yes, I am gonna keep those speed limits… 😉 )
