Having a young kid visiting make you do different things than usual during the weekend; today we were together with Katka and kids and went to the local Grand Prix for soapbox cars (Olabilløp)…a lot of fun for kids and adults, as you can see from the pics below! (click on them for bigger versions)

It was splendid autumn weather, so the soapbox cars did not need their rain tires…the field next to the track wasn’t so dry though, and our car got stuck…uhh, oops! Luckily help is always nearby in this farmer region! 😉

Yet another great day with Martine, Arjan and Tygo; it was absolutely stunning weather, so we decided to enjoy nature and went for a walk to Buvannet, a lake at just 5 km from our house…truly fantastic as you can see in the pics below (click for a bigger version).

We ended the afternoon with an activity for true men; chopping wood!!

We also reorganized the wood storage, looks good, ah? 😉 It now has enough space for some more wood, hehe, much needed to make it through the coming winter months!

My sis, Arjan and Tygo are visiting us this weekend. Great to see them in Norway again, it’s their second visit ‘up north’ and the first time in our new house…they brought blue skies and loads of sun today, winter is however nearing as temperatures below zero! Hehe, that means that we are burning wood in da fireplace, yay, a cozy and relaxing weekend coming up!!

The last time we played ‘Uno’, this time we’re prepping homemade sushi, yummyyy! 😉

Hmm, did it really take 7 years to come from ‘love, the drug’ to ‘love, the painkiller’?? 😉

Have you ever heard of Humanclock.com? It’s a website showing a photograph of your current time, with the photo changing every minute of the day. The site originally started in 2001 and is up in its current form from 2003. Check it out, it’s quite cool.

I went for a short hike in the forest today, it is *so* nice to have nature starting at the backyard! 😉

It was nice autumn weather (well, *almost* since it did not rain hehe 😉 ) and that made it a fantastic trip; the variety in colors, the smell of nature, no wind, everything so quiet and yet full of energy, I love it!

Exactly six years ago today I gave Adam Curry a ‘Boost of Energy’ when we met in traffic on the Dutch A4 highway; I was listening to one of the first episodes of his Daily Source Code podcast (well, it wasn’t even called podcasting back then), and he was recording a next episode in his studio Audi A8 so our encounter got recorded, here is the clip 😉 )…last weekend ‘Podfather’ Adam (arranged by Andre and Axel) gave me a ‘Boost of Energy’ back with a special 35 minute Delta Sierra Charlie episode #777.5 ‘Upgrade or Die’, filled with stories and songs that make the soundtrack of our lives…it fitted perfectly in the Ode to Love atmosphere!

Love and death go hand in hand these days;

This Sunday morning, at the end of our Ode to Love weekend, our friend and Stefanie’s brother in law Wout passed away…what a shock! And today it’s exactly two years ago that my cousin Marcel passed away…Both are leaving a big gap and are missed by many…

In the spirit of last weekend; I LOVE you both and send you and the ones left behind eternal LOVE…

After all the LOVE-posts the past week, I feel it is time now for some good’old geek/tech related news! 😉

Mozilla Labs’ Concept Series: “The Mozilla Seabird, part of the Mozilla Labs’ Concept Series, is an experiment in how users might interact with their mobile content as devices and technology advances.”

Oh well, we might refer to this post as the LOVE for a mobile phone, eh? 😉

From the ‘On this day…’ segment on the righthand side of my blog I noticed that this is the second year in a row that I have not been home for the cats on World Animal Day…and, even more bizarre; similar as last year we:

“…left our three cats ‘alone’ outside…they obviously have enough food and water, but still…I’ll give’m something extra tomorrow night when I get back home”

…yes, also this year I am flying back home the day after, so October 5…history repeats…

The day after, and the energy keeps on flowing…more than a 1000 words cannot describe this weekend. Everything can be said in two words followed by a silence filled with energy:

LOVE IS…!

Only one day left…it is time, time to go for a weekend in which we celebrate LOVE…love for each other, and every one around us…we are all ONE!

You can’t do it alone, the Ode to Love follows the basic communication principles; a sender and a receiver…without any noise since Love is such a pure form of energy!

…and we’re down to the final three!

A golden three since 3 is a magic number…I feel the LOVE, do you?

It’s just five days to go until we bring our ‘Ode to Love‘, we are looking forward to it and counting down!

Everything around us is in motion; the countdown is not ending on Saturday, the Ode to Love feels as a start for spreading LOVE around the world!!
