I missed the live-blog of Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference done by various websites because of yet some other house visits tonight, so I am going through them a bit late. 😉

The highlights:

(instead of a rewrite of the details for all these announcements, I’d rather point to them)

– updates to the MacBook line

– the new version of Mac OS X, Snow Leopard, will ship in September for a small $29,- upgrade fee

– a show off of the new iPhone OS 3.0, available from June 17 (uhhmm, hope the jailbreak will not take too long 😉 )

– iPhone 3GS, the new iPhone!  Available from June 19 already!

Unfortunately, no surprise visit from Steve Jobs who is  expected to return to Apple soon…Phil Schiller tried, but there is only one master of a keynote speech! 😉

I managed to escape from Sweden! I had to take an alternative route, but still was back in the afternoon. Completely knackered after a great company event, so I am gonna hit the hay a tiny bit earlier than the past two nights. 😉 Tomorrow is house-hunt day again, so I can use some rest!

We’ve been building the team for one day now, and I must admit, we’re quite successful in conquering Sweden! 😉

It’s great to meet up with all my international colleagues again, and the pool-party last night was a lot of fun! Not too much sleep as expected (for some reason I always end up being the last at the party, turning off the light and since it never gets really dark ‘up North’ that is pretty late 😉 ).

Today we went on a boat-trip and we’ve been turned into a Ceasar type of legionary, wearing white sheets and so on…haha, doesn’t THAT sound like teambuilding?? Oh well, it’s mainly about drinking anyway, so no surprise there. One night to go…wish me luck, oof! 😉

The coming two days we will be conquering Sweden, having a company teambuilding event in Dalsland.

Around 110 colleagues from Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Slovakia will be together, HEAPS of fun!

The Green Room (TGR) has published an image that sums up all the current rumors with color-coded likelihood for the next generation iPhone which is expected to be released in the coming weeks!

For all us iPhone fans out here; we can’t wait! 😉

Adam Curry is fighting a Dutch tabloid against their (mis)use of Adam’s Flickr-pictures.

They published a picture from his Flickr account in their print magazine, while the pictures are protected under the Creative Commons license, allowing only Non-Commercial use of them. Read here the letter Adam wrote to Lawrence Lessig, the founder of Creative Commons, as well as the letter from his attorney to the magazine’s editor.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the coming days, I’m putting my money on Adam, firstly I think he is right and secondly he already won one case before! 😉

This weekend is also Pinkpop festival weekend, weather is beautiful and I was considering of going for a day…it’s a great festival with good memories. Main act to see was Depeche Mode, but I just learned that they cancelled their show, due to illnes of lead singer Dave Gahan…well, that means, no Pinkpop this year…gonna enjoy the sunny weather instead!

We just arrived in NL for a weekend with our friends, hope it will be quiet (although I know it will be intense too), as the week was BUSY both on the work-side as on the house hunt side.

At least the sun is shining and the weather forecast for the coming days is perfect, so we’ll be fine on that part. Tonight is movie night (Duplicity), a good start!

Trust me, the situation here in Norway is not as bad as you might think after seeing this movie…Norwegian blondes are great, and bright, and smart and…uhh, Norwegian! 😉

Uhhh, the fact that I moved to Norway had NOTHING to do with that, I swear!! 😉

If you read the article, you’ll see that Belgium is facing overpopulation in its prisons. A conclusion could be that the more North you go, the less the crime you face? Hehe, nice! 😉

Today I am exactly as long WITH my ‘sjetzie’ as without her, splitting my life in two parts of each 18 years, 6 months and 16 days…wow! Who would have thought, back in the early 90’s…and we’re still going strong, love ya babe!

Two major car race events today; the Formula One Grand Prix of Monaco and the Indy500…I’ve had my share of watching race cars doing their rounds. 😉 …and houses too btw.: I’ve seen around 15 houses in two days, but did not find the fairytale dreamhouse though…

It’s one week ago since Norway won the Eurovision Song Contest, and I am sure that by now also the rest of Europe knows this one by heart…I have heard it way too much and am actually trying to avoid it, which is kind of hard, here in Norway! 😉

And then again, ‘The Hunt‘ is related to it, since we’re looking for a fairytale-house in the forest, so what the heck, here it is:

The coming weeks will be filled with house hunting, there are 10 weeks left before we have to move out at the end of July, oof!

Today’s public holiday sort of became the kick-off for ‘The Hunt’; we saw six houses in total, but haven’t found our dream house yet. We’re planning to see a LOT more this weekend, so it’s gonna be busy…and fun!

As I wrote some days ago; the family-car broke down completely last week and today it turned out that fixing it is no option…:(

Best that we can do now is to export it out of NL and (try to) sell it in Norway for parts without importing it. Oil and water in the engine is no good mix, so the money for the repair earlier this month just went down the drain…not good since we are trying to save money for a new house. 🙁

Anyway, what’s done is done and the net-result is that this car is OUT so it’s time to close the book…a car is just some steel on wheels, bringing you from A to B…this one brought us from NL to Norway, it served its duty and apparently wanted to stay here, not a bad thing actually! 😉

Or, happy Constitution Day that is (‘syttende mai‘, the 17th of May)! The whole country is celebrating, ALSO because of the fabulous win in the Eurovision Song Contest yesterday! 😉

I’m going to a soccer game today.

The match is between Vålerenga and Fredrikstad, coincidentally the same teams as the first game I saw live in Norway last year. Over 16.000 tickets have been sold, it’s gonna be a great atmosphere in the stadium!

The title says it all: this years BBQ-season has officially been opened! 😉

Blue skies, sun in the face, rose wine, fresh trout, shrimps, bacon steak and some burning coles…life’s grande!
