Lianne and I are going to the Lofoten group of islands tomorrow, and will be celebrating her Birthday in a magical place. This amazing place will become even more magical when the Northern Lights show up…predictions for Northern Lights to ‘be’ there are fantastic, it is just that the clouds might decide to not play along….cross fingers they will not!!!
My flight was being served by an obviously gay flight attendant, who seemed to put everyone in a good mood as he served us food and drinks.
As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and told us “Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he’ll be landing the big scary plane shortly, so lovely people, if you could just put your trays up, that would be super.”
On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed an extremely well-dressed and exotic young woman hadn’t moved a muscle. “Perhaps you didn’t hear me over those big brute engines but I asked you to raise your trazy-poo, so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground.”
She calmly turned her head and said, “In my country, I am called a Princess and I take orders from no one.”
To which the flight attendant replied, without missing a beat, “Well, sweet-cheeks, in my country I’m called a Queen, so I outrank you. Tray up, Bitch.”
Wow, this is very inspirational; watch the video below (dutch spoken / english subs) and realise that the best kind of thinking is: Doing!
“At 5 years old, you are at the top of your creative ability and by the time you’re 8 your creativity is halved. At 44 you reach a state of ‘terminal seriousness’. Structure determines your life and reality can only follow. This video is a call to start ‘doing’!”
Louise Bogan: “I cannot believe that the inscrutable universe turns on an axis of suffering; surely the strange beauty of the world must somewhere rest on pure joy!”
Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider: “It’s just human. We all have the jungle inside of us. We all have wants and needs and desires, strange as they may seem. If you stop to think about it, we’re all pretty creative, cooking up all these fantasies. it’s like a kind of poetry.”
Yihaaaa, the tickets for Lowlands 2014 are INNNN which means I am halfway there! (mentally not physically 🙂 )
Getting the tickets went much smoother today than the fight for tickets that became a tradition in the last years, not sure if the festival is loosing momentum or it is something else, but anyway, more than happy to have the tickets, the countdown started today (195 days to go)!!
As usual, hardly any bands have been announced, the biggest name so far is Queens of the Stone Age and well, that alone is a reason to go (since ‘fun with friends’ is always present! 🙂 ). The full name for the festival is ‘A Campflight to Lowlands Paradise‘…well, camping is what we’re gonna do, and it is up to us to turn it into paradise which we will!
I know where I will be between August 15-17, ready for my sixth Lowlands festival hell YEAHHH!!
Are you traveling alone a lot? Well, that might not be the smartest thing to do as you can see in the ad below. The Belgian Bus Company De Lijn promotes why you should take the bus…I have never been a big fan of public transport (I guess it has let me down too many times 🙂 ), still a original way to get people in the bus! (though I have never seen any sharks on the road 🙂 )
This years ‘winter-wonderland-snow’ came silent and slow yet vicious; ‘all of a sudden’ there is a LOT of the white magical stuff! Despite plowing some of it yesterday and not having too much in front of the garage when I left home this morning, I managed to get my car stuck in the snow when I tried to enter my garage this afternoon…huh?!? (and aarrggghhhh!!)
That meant that more snow plowing was to be done…that, AND digging out my car (grrrr!)…ha, more of this snow fun can be expected; the weather forecast shows four consistent days of snow coming down this Thursday-Sunday…oh, ohhh, I might get snowed in, mommyyyy! Haha, I *LOVE* it!! 🙂
Sunday, a day to relax and play ping-pong?! That is, *if* you have a table tennis table…I don’t have one, nor is there anyone to play with, so I am stuck watching ping-pong YouTube clips. Haha, no worries, I did *not* spend my day doing that; I actually just watched one, and it is the only one I would ever recommend someone to watch! 🙂 The video is quite long (> 16 minutes) but well worth it…ROTFLMAO!! The TV commentary is kind of hard to understand (Chinese/Japanese/…?) and can get irritating at some point, but sit it out, one hell of a game, spectacular!
