I’ll be here for some days attending an exhibition this weekend (IBC) business wise, yet hopefully some time for entertainment too!

Peismann
Thursday, September 10th, 2009Today the ‘peismann’ (norwegian for the ‘fireplace guy’) started with the work to move the fireplace and hook it up to the pipe again. Quite some work, but the guy is a pro. And, he has great planning too btw.; the new couch will arrive coming week…smooth!! 😉
Things are moving definitely in the right direction, the house is feels more and more like home!

More IKEA fun
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009There was no way I could avoid more IKEA fun…having a new house and not/never enough closets to store stuff in, well, do the math! 😉
Other fun stuff; Apple has the “It’s Only Rock and Roll” media event scheduled for tomorrow. Rumors and speculations on the possible announcements are:
- iPods with a camera (very likely)
- new iTunes Store options (codename “Cocktail” and Pre-Cut Ringtones, I’d say ‘likely’)
- iTunes 9 (for sure, I realized today that iTunes 5 came in 2005, so 2009 seems the right year for iTunes 9 ;))
- the ‘iTablet’ (somewhere inbetween an iPhone and MacBook, not very likely at the moment)
- and of course The Beatles are part of the rumor circus again, which is becoming a tradition!
We’ll see what tomorrow brings, as my Facebook fortune cookie said yesterday: “Every day is a new beginning.” 😉

Saturday, September 5th, 2009It’s just two years ago that we moved to Norway.
September 4th was traveling day and we started to unpack boxes the day after…hmm, not much changed in two years time; it’s September 5th 2009 and we are still unpacking boxes! 😉 Different boxes though, in a different house; yeah, you can say a lot changed in just two years time!

Friday, September 4th, 2009It’s Fridayyyy and normally I would say; Thank God It’s Friday!!
Today is a bit different though; it’s close to midnight and I’m still in the office trying to solve a difficult puzzle (= making a proposal for a customer, with impossible requirements)…DAMN! And I am afraid that this weekend will not be much different than work, work, work. 🙁
Luckily there are some changes coming up within the organization and future looks a bit brighter; and THAT is the main reason to keep going! 😉
Birkebeiner pictures…for sale

The person crazy enough to buy me a printed photo, coffee mug or whatever else, has to participate in the race next year so I can return the favor! 😉
Cellphones and the honeybee mystery
Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009dvorak.org: ‘Are Cellphone Towers Part of the Honeybee Disappearance Mystery? …Mobile towers are posing a threat to honey bees in Kerala with electromagnetic radiation from mobile towers and cell phones having the potential to kill worker bees that go out to collect nectar from flowers, says a study…when a mobile phone was kept near a beehive it resulted in collapse of the colony in five to 10 days, with the worker bees failing to return home, leaving the hives with just queens, eggs and hive-bound immature bees.’
UPDATE: according to ScienceDaily.com, the honeybee disappearance mystery might have a completely different cause.
