I am only blogging less than a year…will this be the future?
Not much time to post today, was in Brussels for a customer meeting the
whole day…meeting was running longer than expected, but I don’t
complain, it’s always good to meet up with a customer who is paying for
lunch
Next time it’s my treat!
I also visitted the European Commission (my customer, unbelievable if you heared Adam Curry in DSC275 :)), good I brought my passport…quite a day, eh?
Am enjoying a nice whiskey at the moment, time to stop thinking about work!
Went to ‘Lebbis en Jansen‘
tonight, two stand-up comedians (strange if you consider that they
sometimes sit as well…what a joke!!! Obviously theirs not mine :))
who are now doing try-outs for their New Years Eve show. They let the
year pass by in 1.5 hour,
so much has happened! Amazing year…heaps of fun!!
Watch their show on tv on New Years Eve, if you can!
The crazy weather yesterday caused the biggest traffic jam in dutch
history…over 800 km!! The longest single queue was 90 km! Sjeez, just
consider that the country is around 200km East-West and 300km
North-South!
I got lucky for a chance a missed out on most of it
Bad luck if you’re living in Western Europe these days…weather is bad bad bad!
Actually, with the rain of the last 24 hours I expect some areas in The
Netherlands to get wet feet because of the rising ground water levels,
that is if rain continues to pour down!
Bob Dylan: “What’s money? A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and goes to bed
at night and in between does what he wants to do.”
Yesterday I listened to the latest HitTest podcast (by Jan Polet…j - a - n , p -o - l - e - t !).
I must say I *really* miss Adam Curry commenting/answering in between the audio clips…it’s half as good this way…what a shame that things have to go like this
Then again, listening to some audio tracks from the PMN (Podsafe Music Network) my guess is that it won’t be that far future before a HitTest based on Podsafe music will be created…what a great songs!!
Gonna try something new…as I’m such a nice guy, it wouldn’t be nice
to block some potential visitors out via the .htaccess rules (see my earlier post)
Therefore; no more blocking of single IP-addresses…those people are
invited to access, but still should consider having their machines
checked on malware/spyware!!
Mind you…if I come accross an IP-address from where multiple spam attempts are made, *then* they are out! ![]()
Neil Armstrong: “I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don’t intend
to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.”
Saturday was a blast! First the Alfa dealer, then X-box’ing, no dinner
(kind of lost track of time while playing :)), ADO-NEC (no comment, fun
to be in the Zuiderpark stadium again, not the best game…) and
partying! Because of the 0-1 loss we obviously decided NOT to go to The
Hague, but Amsterdam…driving on the Amsterdam-ring we saw the first
sign for Leeuwarden…hmmm, never went there in the night,
so…Leeuwarden it was. Club Nao, *the* place to be. Had heaps of fun! A very, very relaxing Sunday followed
Have a weekend off; Kristel is out with friends in Zeeland for their
yearly girls-weekend. Normally these type of weekends are filled with
computers, internet and web-designing, but today will be different.
Just came back from the hairdresser, Robbert will pick me up soon for
some old-school dudes day of fun; a X-box, some pizzas, a game of
soccer (ADO - NEC) and partying till early Sunday morning.
I can leave my brains home for a change
Dorothy Nevill: “The real art of conversation is not only to say the
right thing at the right place but to leave unsaid the wrong thing at
the tempting moment.”
Last weekend I visitted my brother who lives in Heumen.
(huh? Where?
Heumen? Yes, Heumen, near Nijmegen in the East of The Netherlands!!)
It turned out the be an amazingly beautiful Sunday for the time of
year. Check out the environment, it’s on walking distance from their home!!

House for sale…anyone??
Theodore Seuss Geisel: “I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.
Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. It’s a way of looking at
life through the wrong end of a telescope and that enables you to laugh
at all of life’s realities.”
