Sjeez, what’s happening the last days? I’m hit with referrer spam

(again!) more than I can handle…or actually, my bandwidth can

handle…it’s eating up my monthly allowance in a couple of days if I

don’t act NOW! Thought I solved this some time ago (check my posts on June 9th and October 7th)

Online poker, casinos, hotelgaydays, texas holdem…just to name a few of the referrers…stop it dudes, I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!

It seems that many internetters among us are hit by spyware/malware

which is sending out the referrer spam, at least as seen from the

originating IP-addresses and their reverse domain lookups…a lot of

DSL or cable type of IP’s)

For now I am banning the IP addresses with a .htaccess, but that’s not

the desired solution (as I *am* blocking many potential visitors of the

site)…anyone any better ideas???

The new word for ‘cool’ is ‘book’! (ofcourse BOINGGGG is way cooler, uhh, booker?!? :))

Why?

Well, try typing a text message on your mobile phone (in English)

with autotext on; the first word that pops up when typing ‘cool’

is….book!

Book, eh?

One of the advantages of being stuck in a traffic-jam…you have the time to enjoy the environment

Congrats to Adam Christianson with the 100th episode of The MacCast!

I’m a big fan of the show and listening since February this

year…having (finally) switched to Mac (mini) in May, you bet I’m a

happy mac user and MacCast listener!

Hardly any time to post these days, I’m still alive though (working my ass off…again!)

My company car is at the end of its lease. so I am checking my options

for a new one…mommy, I found one that I would really want!!! The

Coincidentally Adam Curry is also looking for a new car (as the lease

of his Audi A8 expires end of the year)…there *is* however a small

difference in our selection as seen on his weblog. just a small one

I went climbing yesterday…indoor climbing that is!

Having never done this before, I must say it’s a great thing and actually more

difficult than expected. You use muscles that you didn’t know the

existence of

My best friend from Down-Under, Mike, introduced me to this sport (he’s

doing this several years already) and I went to a climbing wall

(’klimmuur’ in dutch) in The Hague (climbing center ‘Steep Part’)

All in all it went pretty good for the first time, even though I didn’t

manage to climb a part with a over hang (when the wall is slightly

coming to you and you’re climbing ‘underneath’ it), sjeez…those

climbs are TOUGH! My underarms and hands are feeling the work they did

yesterday, showing myself that I gave it my best shot.

I learned that

climbing is actually all about saving your energy, using technique and

your brains and not brute power to climb up. You still need some

mucle-power though, so I will train especially my arms for the next

time!
