3am this night…a car drives up the drive-way…we’re both awake for no obvious reason…a guy gets out of the car and…OUR LUGGAGE!!!
Feels so much better to have all our stuff here!
We arrived safely in Banff last night, just after midnight.
I found an open wireless internet link, so am able to post some more in the coming weeks, pictures too if I find a way to get them off the camera (forgot the usb cable rrrrrrr)
Most of the journey was quite good, we were very lucky on the KLM flight from Amsterdam, got the two business-class seats normally reserved for the cockpit crew! A major bummer that we had to take shifts in the cockpit when the captain wanted to rest a bit he he he 🙂 🙂
I got a cockpit permit (picture will come later!) and was in the cockpit during landing, always an amazing experience!
As seen in the previous post, yesterday in Vancouver we found out the hard way that in the start of the springbreak weekend is a bad choice (if only we knew before!)…schools are closed, kiddos are traveling, planes are full 🙁 🙁
It made the 'last mile' Vancouver-Calgary quite difficult 🙁
Traveling with standby tickets we were turned down on four flights and were really, really lucky to catch a flight at all on Saturday, the guy at the counter didn't expect us to make it!
Here in Banff life promises to be great, weather is cold but sunny, the Bed & Breakfast is nice and cosy and we met up with Scott and Claire.
The last thing we would like to have is….our luggage…!!!!! Yeah, Air Canada managed (again!) to loose our luggage. Last reports tell us that it should be delivered at 3am this night (!!!)
Short update from Vancouver Airport…we picked the start of the springbreak holiday this weekend to travel from Vancouver to Calgary 🙁
A no go so far, but we stay optimistic…we’ll get there in the end!!!
On our way out! Wish us luck as we’re flying on standby 🙂
Finally…
The process took quite a while, but the verdict is out…*this* is my new (company) car!

Not bad, eh?
Just one more day and I'm outta here…Canada here we come! YESSSSSSS!!!
Since I've got an important volleyball match tomorrow evening, most of the packing was done tonight…ready, set…almost GO! 🙂
Japanese proverb: "Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare."
I have spent most of my day in Brussels for work, but was able to complete the pie eating contest just before I left early this morning…exactly 15 bites!!! 🙂
The proof is in the pudding, so:

Nice one for pie addicts…I managed to ‘eat’ the pie in 16 bites, can you do better?
GMail is down for over an hour already…AAHHHHH!!!
It’s the first time I experienced an outage this long since I started using the service a year ago…anyone else having the same problem??
*** UPDATE *** 11:45h Gmail is online again! YEAHHHH! 🙂
Sylvia Porter: "Money never remains just coins and pieces of paper. Money can be translated into the beauty of living, a support in misfortune, an education, or future security. It also can be translated into a source of bitterness."

We played again this evening, the 17th match of the season. It was far from brilliant, but good enough; we beat Red Stars 3-1.
With 5 matches to go and still 4 points ahead on number 2 the championship is coming close. Next week Friday we play against the number 2, DEO…THAT will be the game to win!!
I managed to plan my 2 weeks skiing holiday in Canada (YEAH baby YEAH!) starting just after that game, hope it will work out just fine. 🙂
