Robert Scoble ROCKS!

Tuesday, August 7th, 2007

Wow, I’ve just enjoyed Steve Jobs on stage at Apple’s summer Mac product press conference, from uhhh a 2nd row seat (!)…how?

Easy; Robert Scoble (aka. Scobleizer) attended the conference and had his Kyte.tv channel up. He wasn’t allowed to shoot any video nor take pictures, instead he shared some great audio segments as well as text highlights through the chat window! A constant audience of around 250 peeps where following the press conferences through this new way of information sharing, social network style! Engadget covered the event old skool…blogging 🙂

So, new iMacs (superthin), iLife ’08 (including the stunning new iPhoto with ‘Events’ and ‘Skimming’, iMovie to make your own movie within 20 minutes, an enhanced iWeb and iDVD as well as ‘Magic’ Garageband), .Mac got upgraded with a 10Gb storage for all subscribers (finally, yay!), iWork ’08 (with a new Keynote presentation app, Pages with distinct modes for word processing and page layout, and…Numbers, the new spreadsheet app., done in the style of Keynote and Pages)…according to Robert Scoble, iPhoto, iMovie and iWork ’08 are killer tools, killer for Flickr and Microsoft :)…can’t wait to lay my hands on them!

The Kyte.tv audience was lucky that Roberts Macbook battery lasted juuust long enough to cover the entire event…Robert Scoble, you ROCK…thanks man!!
